Here is my new short film called Allah Earth, which I shot, performed and filmed in Costa Rica. Please watch in 1080 HD and closed captioning is available for Deaf folks who don't know ASL.
An ASL poem devoted to Allah, inspired by Earth during my time in Costa Rica. I was in awe of Earth's beauty while I was in Costa Rica, and it made me feel so close to Allah and I wanted to share it with you. I am a Muslim, and I am Deaf. I like to express my poetry / mi alma through American Sign Language. So, I wrote and performed "Allah Earth" in ASL, which I then translated into written English text. I took much of my inspiration from Sufi poets and Urdu poets, like Rumi and Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
