88 The Friendship Game (8-bit experiment video)
I made the video because I was bored and wanted to experiment with 8-bit. Growing up as a young lass in the 1980s, my brother and I always loved playing games on the Atari 2600 console, and sometimes I got to play the Commodore 64 (although we never owned any games or consoles because we were shit poor as kids).
The storyline was inspired by the racist "Ground Zero Mosque" controversy that happened over the summer, and I was apalled at the Islamophobia and the "if you are not Christian/Jewish, you don't belong here, get out of here" rhetoric that I heard from some U.S Americans. So I thought about something -- a lot of white Americans can trace their ancestry back to Western Europe yet many of them act like that non-white Americans and immigrants are not considered to be American!... so I reversed the sides: Americans of color taunting a white foreigner to get out of USA.
Enjoy my experiment video, and be nice to me, this is my first 8-bit video.

new interview with me
My friend, M. Oguntunde, a fashion designer based in New York City, interviewed me for his blog on New Year's Eve and we discussed our life goals as artists while I was drinking, and the conversation became more interesting later on. Check it out.

Banned in UAE
According to a Facebook friend overseas, my blog has now been banned in UAE. Just a few days ago, he had access to my blog. Today, he cannot access The American Dream is Dead because it is officially banned. Too bad, because I got a lot of visitors from Dubai. I am an artist and writer, it's my goal to expose my ideas to people and offer them a different perspective. It's a shame that people in UAE are now blocked from reading my blog and being exposed to a different opinion. Maybe my writings have made them think, made them laugh, or pissed them off. Either way, all that's gone now.

Sorry to everyone in UAE who cannot read any of my creative pieces. You can always e-mail me if you want to read my works. Oh that's right... you can't even read this.
UPDATE: to bypass the ban, simply download and install Tor, which encrypts and anonymizes you. It works for all computers.
